Join us for a BioBlitz at Archerfield Wetlands on May 31st

Join us for a community BioBlitz at Archerfield Wetlands, Durack.

Wildlife Queensland, Oxley Creek Catchment Association, Griffith University, and Transurban are working together to host a hands-on BioBlitz at Oxley Creek Catchment on May 31, 2026.

A BioBlitz is a fun, collaborative event where people work together to record as many species as possible in a set time. Your observations contribute to real scientific data used to understand and protect biodiversity.

Why this matters

The species we do not see are often the ones we lose, so every observation you make during this event will help build a clear picture of Archerfield Wetland’s biodiversity and could help protect it.

By taking part, you’re not just attending a fun event—you’re helping protect the places and wildlife we all care about.

What to expect

Wander the beautiful trails, spot plants and animals, and learn to log what you find using your phone. Whether you are a total beginner or a nature enthusiast, this is a chance to slow down, take a closer look, and share that experience with your family and like-minded people.
