Monitoring the quality of waterways is a effective way to track the long term progress and rehabilitation of creeks and rivers. The types of parameters that are monitored are the PH levels, the oxygen content, and the macro-invertebrates alive in the samples. Salinity and pollution corrupt waterways in our community and having a healthy and well vegetated creek bank is one way to combat those hazards. Re-vegetating the creek bank with trees and plants also create shade which cools the water temperature making the creek more comfortable for life in them.
With Regular monitoring of our waterways we ensure there are no spikes in pollution or environmental hazards that would threaten the health of the whole community.
