21 November – OCCA’s 21st AGM ‘Ecological, social and educational values of the Oxley Creek Common’
We hope that you will be able to join us at OCCA’s 21st AGM on Tuesday November 21st.
For this special night, in the context of the ‘Oxley Creek Transformation’, OCCA has invited three speakers in a succinct 10 minutes, to outline their ideas for the Oxley Creek Common. The speakers who have accepted this challenge are: Professor Hugh Possingham, Chief Scientist of the Nature Conservancy, and Australian Research Council Laureate Fellow, U of Q; Stuart Halsey, Head of Department – Senior Science & Agriculture, Corinda State High School; and Beryl Roberts, historian, member of the OCCA Management Committee manager of the OCCA Community Native Plant Nursery. The speakers will highlight the values that they place on this special much sought after area.
Following the general discussion, supper will be enjoyed, and then we will resume for the OCCA Annual Report and Election of Office Bearers.
