Register now for our Pollinator Project Workshops

Working with Brisbane City Council and three local Bushcare Groups, OCCA’s Pollinator Project will demonstrate how everyday spaces can become havens for native pollinators.  The project aims to encourage insect pollinators like bees, beetles and butterflies by planting their favourite food sources at demonstration plantings at Blackheath Rd, Fifteen Mile Corner and Strathburn St Park Bushcare sites.

There will also be online resources to help make your backyards more pollinator friendly, including links to the amazing groups already working in this space.

Registration is now open for our Pollinator Project Workshops!

Each Workshop will include a planting of pollinator species plus a presentation by Fflur Collier, a Brisbane City Council Wildlife Conservation Partnerships Officer and self-confessed invertebrate enthusiast. Fflur will dive into the incredible relationships between plants and pollinators, share practical ways to boost habitat in urban spaces and show how anyone can become a citizen scientist for pollinator conservation.

Spots are limited, so register now and come see what all the buzz is about!

This project is supported by the Brisbane City Council Environment Grant Program.
