On August 6th, we celebrated National Landcare Week with a community planting at our Success St Bushcare site in Acacia Ridge. National Landcare week is an opportunity to celebrate the amazing contribution of the thousands of Landcare volunteers across Australia.
Oxley Creek Catchment Association is a proud member of Queensland Water & Land Carers (QWALC). QWALC supports over 500 groups and 62,000 volunteers across the state who give their time to protect our natural resources.
For our planting we were joined by volunteers from Rockpress, who assisted us with planting 50 native seedlings in our bush regeneration area. Rockpress are a Gold Partner in our CreekWatch Industry Program. Thanks to the ongoing support of Rockpress and our CreekWatch program, the Success St Bushcare group has now been operating for 8 years. It’s amazing to see how far this site has come thanks to their support.
