The results are in for our Brisbane’s Big Butterfly Count at Toohey Forest.
Thanks to the amazing guidance of Annette Dexter, our Sunday group was able to catch and identify the following species during their walk:
Blue Tiger (Tirumala hamata) Blue triangle (Graphium anthedon subsp. choredon) Brown Ringlet (Hypocysta metirius) Common Crow (Euploea corinna) Lemon Migrant (Catopsilia pomona) Orange Ringlet (Hypocysta adiante) Orchard Swallowtail (Papilio aegeus subsp. aegeus) Small Dusky-blue (Erina erina) Small Green-banded Blue (Psychonotis caelius) Speckled Line-blue (Catopyrops florinda) White-brand Grass-Skipper (Toxidia rietmanni) Wide-brand Grass-Dart (Suniana sunias)In addition to the 12 butterfly species, we also found a Joseph’s Coat Moth (Agarista agricola).
