The OCCA office is open Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am to 3 pm. We also have a number of volunteering groups that meet regularly. A general guide to these groups is provided below, with additional information available on our Humanitix page.

Our Community nursery is open to volunteers on Tuesday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:30 pm and Friday mornings from 8:00 to 10:00 am.
Tuesday Common Carers

Success St Working Bee with CreekWatch and Rockpress
Our CreekWatch working bees at Success St, Acacia Ridge occur on the second Wednesday of every month between 7:30 and 9:30 am. All community members are welcome and no prior bushcare experience is necessary. If you are interested in learning more about our Success St restoration project then please contact the OCCA Partnerships team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Bushcare and Beer
We’ve partnered with Helios Brewing to run a Bushcare group at Oxley Creek Common. We meet on the third Sunday of every month from 2 to 4 pm to remove weeds from the riparian vegetation along Oxley Creek. As a thank you for your hard work, participants (over the age of 18) will be rewarded with a free beer at Helios Brewing, located at 15 Palomar Rd, Yeerongpilly. Dunn Road Bushcare with Sims Metal
CreekWatch and Sims Metal have launched a new Bushcare group at Dunn Road, Rocklea. Come and join us at Dunn Road Reserve where we’ll be weeding, planting and mulching as part of our program to restore the riparian habitat of Stable Swamp Creek.
